The Tiny Astronaut and the Giant Planet

Once upon a time, far away in space, there lived a tiny astronaut named Pip. Pip was smaller than all the other astronauts at Space School. His helmet looked too big for his head, and his boots always felt heavy on his little feet. Some astronauts were tall and strong, but Pip was small and light.

Even though Pip was tiny, he had a very big dream. “I want to explore new planets,” Pip said every day.

Some astronauts laughed kindly. “That planet is too big for you,” they said. “You are too small.”

But Pip did not give up.

One bright morning, Pip got a special mission. His small spaceship blinked with green lights. “Mission alert,” said Ship-Bot, his friendly robot helper. “New planet found. Very big planet.”

Pip’s eyes shined. “I can do it!”

Soon, Pip flew through space. Stars passed by his window like tiny dots of light. After a long journey, Pip saw the planet. It was HUGE. The planet was so big that Pip could not see the end of it. The mountains looked taller than clouds. The trees were bigger than towers. Even the rocks were larger than Pip’s spaceship.

Pip landed carefully. “Wow,” Pip whispered. “Everything is giant.”

Pip stepped out of his ship. His feet touched the soft ground. Suddenly, the ground shook. BOOM. BOOM.

Pip looked up. A giant creature walked past him. Its feet were bigger than houses. Pip felt scared. His heart beat fast. “I am too small,” he said softly.

Ship-Bot rolled closer. “Size does not decide bravery,” Ship-Bot said.

Pip took a deep breath and walked forward. Soon, Pip reached a giant river. The water moved fast, and the waves were taller than him.

“How will I cross?” Pip wondered. He looked around and thought carefully. “I may be small,” Pip said, “but I can think.”

Pip used a long leaf like a boat. He tied it with space rope and slowly floated across the river. The river pushed and pulled, but Pip stayed calm. When he reached the other side, Pip smiled. “I did it!”

As Pip walked on, he heard a soft voice. “Hello, tiny one.”

Pip turned around and saw a giant friendly creature named Globo. Globo had kind eyes and a warm smile.

“I am small,” Pip said. “But I come in peace.”

Globo laughed gently. “Small friends are welcome here.”

Globo helped Pip walk safely across giant rocks and tall grass. They became friends.

Suddenly, Pip heard a loud beep. “Oh no!” said Ship-Bot. “Spaceship part broken.”

Pip’s spaceship could not fly without it. Pip felt sad. “I am stuck.”

Globo sat down slowly. “Do not worry,” Globo said. “Use your clever mind.”

Pip looked at the broken part. He thought hard. Then he smiled. “I know what to do!”

Pip used tiny tools and fixed the part with help from Globo’s giant hands. CLICK. The ship worked again. The sky glowed bright. Pip waved goodbye.

“You are brave,” Globo said.

Pip flew home happy. Back at Space School, everyone listened to Pip’s story. “You were small,” they said, “but very brave.”

Pip smiled. He learned something important. Being small does not stop big dreams.
